Mount Laurel, New Jersey, August 31, 2015 – Corporate Synergies, a national employee benefits and property and casualty insurance brokerage and consulting firm, announced that it has earned two APEX Awards for 2015. APEX Awards for Publication Excellence is an annual national competition that recognizes excellence in publication work by professional communicators.
APEX Awards is sponsored by Communications Concepts, Inc., an organization that advises professionals who write, edit and manage business communications on best practices. Corporate Synergies was recognized in the award category of Campaigns, Programs & Plans—Special Purpose category for the wellness campaign developed for client Batali & Bastianich Hospitality Group (BBHG). The BBHGoodHealth Corporate Wellness Program, titled Using the Language of Food to Communicate Health & Wellness, leveraged social media to engage employees working across multiple BBHG locations as a means to promote education and communication around the topic of wellness.
“The initial communication strategy used printed materials to create awareness of the wellness campaign and to drive employees to engage in social media with the goal of enabling faster and regular communications,” said Gary Cassidy, Director of Wellness for Corporate Synergies, who worked with BBHG to develop the program. “As a result of the initiative, our client is experiencing widespread employee engagement in social networking platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Instagram and YouTube.
APEX also recognized Corporate Synergies in the Electronic Media—Video Media category for its Wellness Minute video series, which is hosted by Cassidy. Wellness Minute videos are written and produced by the Corporate Synergies internal Marketing staff.
