Breathe Easy With Respiratory Drug Updates!
 

From time to time, the prescription drugs on your UnitedHealthcare plan are reviewed to provide members with better access and lower costs-- all the while preserving choice. New clinical findings and patient financial patient outcomes fuel this update of the Prescription Drug List (PDL) effective May 1, 2007. The focus of this update is on respiratory inhaler classes.

HOW THIS AFFECTS YOU AS AN EMPLOYER
No Surprises!  We have prepared this information for you in an easy to read format to keep your employees educated and aware of the recent changes to the respiratory drug PDL so they are not annoyed.

From May 1, 2007 onward, please reference the below chart for drug payment details. You CAN influence your employees to select lower cost drugs which have been documented as effective treatment and financially advantageous solutions. Your organization saves, and your employees save!

Tier 1 is the lowest copayment level, and Tier 3 is the highest copayment level. There are no generic medications in this category.
